Because we strongly believe that happiness is something that should always be shared, we are also giving our guests the option to donate to a charity of our choice in honor of our marriage. Any donations you make through the linked website are safe, secure, and tax-deductible. Your name and information remain private — it is never shared with the charity.
Children Policy
We know many of you have children. But in order to make sure that we have room for our huge guest list and can maintain safety and ensure fun, the only children allowed are in our immediate family. Please know we are not trying to exclude your amazing little ones, and we hope you are not offended. We can recommend babysitters if you are coming in from out of town and bringing your children so that they can be cared for while you’re partying with us!

There are PLENTY of affordable places to stay in the midtown Atlanta area. We suggest you find a place specifically in this area of Atlanta because:
- It’s easy access to MARTA, our train system that goes directly to and from the airport.
- The Georgia Aquarium (225 Baker St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313), the World of Coca-Cola Museum (121 Baker St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313), the College Football Hall of Fame (250 Marietta St., N.W Atlanta, GA 30313), Piedmont Park, the High Museum of Art (1280 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309), the Atlanta Beltline and more are within walking distance. You can buy a CityPASS to save lots of money if you plan on sightseeing and being touristy. CityPASS holders have up to nine days (from the time of the first attraction visit) to visit their choice of five Atlanta attractions.
- Check out The Center for Civil and Human Rights (100 Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30313) to explore the fundamental rights of all human beings.
- The nightlife and food options are pretty delightful in this area.
You can also look in the Buckhead area (Victoria’s hometown) if you’d like access to high end shopping and amazing restaurants, as well as Decatur for local and sustainable eats, great shopping, and one of our favorite places to get quality drinks, the Brickstore Pub (125 E. Court Square Decatur, Georgia 30030). Both areas are stops on MARTA.
You can also check out Stone Mountain (Timmy’s hometown) and climb the largest piece of exposed granite in the country!
We HIGHLY suggest you start using UBER when you get to Atlanta. Of course you can rent a car, but we don’t suggest it. Traffic is horrendous almost all of the time, so if you can take MARTA or have someone else drive you, do it!
WE ALSO HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU USE UBER AFTER OUR WEDDING RECEPTION. You can leave your cars overnight in the parking lot at the Foundry, so no worries there. We want everyone to have fun but safety is priority numero uno.
Things to Know
- It is NEVER Hotlanta. Either use ATL or Atlanta.
- ITP vs. OTP: I-285 is known as the Perimeter, as it forms a perimeter around Atlanta, separating it from the outer suburbs. The great debate of where to live in Atlanta can be boiled down to those who live Inside the Perimeter (ITP) versus those who live Outside the Perimeter (OTP). Pick a side.
- Bless Your Heart: This is a statement that sounds wonderfully light, but whoever says this about you is basically calling you an idiot. As in: Bless her heart, she got an invitation like we all did but she still showed up in jeans.
- This is Coke Nation. You order a Pepsi and people will look at you with hate in their eyes.
- Waffle House rocks. Go to one. Seriously, just do it.
- If you’re in the mood for the more weird parts of Atlanta, check out the East Atlanta Village, Little Five Points, and of course, one of our favorite after-hours (read: drunk) spots, the Clermont Lounge.
- But there is more to Atlanta (and the South) than Waffle Houses and Chick-fil-A. Atlanta is really a super duper foodie town, so we encourage you to try our hometown’s amazing eats. We LOVE food, so we want to share a few of our favorite places:
- The Optimist (914 Howell Mill Rd Atlanta, GA 30318) is right around the corner from the venue and OMG IT’S ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS IN ATLANTA
- Mathew’s Cafeteria (2299 Main St, Tucker, GA 30084) for solid meat and 3 (one meat and 3 sides)
- Fellini’s has multiple locations and it’s just yummy pizza. Really, who doesn’t like pizza??
- Bacchanalia (1198 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30318) on the West Side for incredible (and expensive) seasonal dishes
- Taqueria del Sol (359 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030) for yummy tacos and margaritas
- Pastries a Go Go (235 Ponce De Leon Pl, Decatur, GA 30030) (breakfast/brunch)
- The Iberian Pig (121 Sycamore St, Decatur, GA 30030) (authentic Spanish tapas and where our parents met for the first time)
- Sushi Avenue (308 W Ponce De Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030)
- Desta Ethiopian Kitchen (3086 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329) for the best Ethiopian food EVER
- Murphy’s (997 Virginia Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306), Fontaine’s Oyster House (1026 1/2 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306), La Tavola (Victoria’s fav restaurant in Atl) (992 Virginia Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306) (all in the Virginia Highlands area) are staples of Atlanta and have been around for years for a reason
- Fritti (309 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307) and Sotto Sotto (313 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307) (in Inman Park), The Porter Beer Bar (1156 Euclid Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307) (in Little Five Points) are consistently amazing and affordable
- Sun in My Belly (2161 College Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30317) and Watershed (1820 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30309) are our favorite brunch spots in the city.
